Jeff City Workshop News

Another great workshop yesterday in Jefferson City at the Cole County Extension Center. We had 24 folks attend the workshops from all over Mid-Missouri.

Sandy Nelson (pictured) with the Camdenton and Osage Beach Farmers’ Markets spoke about how their markets organizes and structures the markets and about ways to market your produce. Workshop participants also had the opportunity to listen to Joan Fahrmeier of Fahrmeier Farms in Lexington discuss how her family got into the produce business and ways other market vendors can promote themselves to consumers. The Fahrmeier family sells at the Overland Park and City Markets.

We have cancelled the Kansas City Workshop tomorrow due to lack of participation…we needed to have at least 20 people sign-up for the workshop and only had 18 registered.

There is another workshop that market vendors can attend that MU Extension is putting together. See the below information:
