Farmer’s Markets are popping up in both metro and rural areas across Missouri because of the popular trend of buying local and buying direct.Starting Wednesday, I will be “Blogging from Baltimore” while I attend the USDA Farmers’ Market Summit in Maryland where I hope to gain a broader knowledge of the challenges that our Missouri markets face in the present and near future. I hope to use much of the information from the summit towards the upcoming 2008 Farmers’ Market Workshops as well, to bring our market vendors the marketing information they need to be successful.
