Marshfield Market Special Events

The Marshfield Farmers’ Market is conveniently located in the Orscheln’s parking lot at 1331 Spur Drive, right off of I-44. The market started in 2004 through the help of the city. Originally the market was located in the City Park in Marshfield, but this year has moved to the new location.

The market averages 13 vendors, selling just about anything a customer could want, including baked goods, meals in a jar, granola, homemade canned goods, lots of produce, bedding plants and duck and chicken eggs.

The market opens the first Friday on May and runs until the last Friday in October from 3 to 7 pm.

Some of the major highlights of the market include:

  • The Corn Ball (community gets an ear of cracked corn and a slice of watermelon)
Louisiana Shrimp (one vendor takes orders for fresh shrimp from customers once a month)

  • Sheep milk orders (this also includes orders for sheep cheese, fudge, hand cream and soap)

  • Harvest Fest (offers visitors the best in autumn pumpkins, corn stalks and gourds)
