Farmers' Market Rules

With the increased popularity of farmers’ markets in Missouri and the push for “local” fresh food, there are numerous markets being established for the 2008 season.

Because of this surge of new markets it is more important than ever that vendors and markets understand the farmers’ market rules, not only for the consumers that shop at markets, but to ensure the markets are covered as well.

The Farmers’ Legal Action Group has a very good publication, “Understanding Farmers’ Market Rules”, which helps farmers understand their responsibilities and rights as vendors at a farmers’ market.
