The Louisiana Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a Farmers Market on the river front, starting July 26. I received an email from one of the organizers of the market about the structure of the market and recruiting vendors. (See below)
We would be very grateful if you could send a notice to all your members in our area; Pike, Lincoln, Audrain & other near by counties. Any product that is home grown, canned, baked, harvested, etc is welcome. We do not allow buy-sell produce. All licensing is taken care of by the Chamber and the City of Louisiana.
The market will begin at 8am every Saturday thru the third or fourth week of October, and be open until noon each day. The Chamber will promote in the newspapers and on the radio and with professional posters in the county and in Lincoln County. The cost for a 10' x10' booth is $10.00 to help off set the cost of advertising.
If any vendors are interested in selling at the market please call 573 754 5921 to signup. If there is no answer they may leave a message : their name, their product(s), their phone and address.
