Ripe for the Picking at the Greater Springfield Farmers' Market

Another farmers' market feature! Here is a story on the Greater Springfield Farmers' Market which was featured by KSPR television.

Ripe for the Picking at Local Farmers' Market

Just as the flowers and trees in your yard are blooming, fruits and vegetables are ripe for the picking at local farmers' markets.

The Greater Springfield Farmers' Market is open Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 8:30 in the morning to sell out. Many customers come more than once a week, not only for the health benefits from fruits and veggies, but also for the fresh taste of the farmers' market.

Once or twice a week for the past 16 years, Lee Longman has come to the farmers' market to get her fruits and vegetables."I like to buy here because it's local. It's fresh. It's usually been picked that day or day before," Longman said.
