City Market Flower Festival Brings Color to Kansas City!

City Market Flower FestivalThe City Market is in full bloom with the most colorful display of bedding plant in Kansas City on Saturday, May 10, 2008. Shoppers can choose from a stunning selection of bedding plants, hanging baskets, perennials, vegetable plants and herbs, shrubs, house plants, ground cover and more! Find unique landscape decorations as well as gardening advice from dozens of greenhouses.

Other activities will include recipe sampling sponsored by the University of Missouri Extension Office, art and craft activities with Wonderscope and Honey Dun Gifts, live music by the Rain Dogs, Beaks n’ Wing bird adoptions and much more. Shatto Milk Company will be on site selling their delicious, mouth watering dairy products and will also have baby calves on display, seeking a friendly pat on the head. Farmers’ Market hours are 6 am – 4 pm and festival hours are 8 am – 2 pm.

While at the Flower Festival, shoppers can find that perfect gift for Mother’s Day with over thirty City Market Merchants who offer a variety of specialty food items, gifts, restaurant options and much more. Where The Locals Go: The City Market is open seven days a week year ‘round. The Farmers’ Market is open Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.
