Yes, EAT LOCAL! Expo 2008 (our 10th Annual Farmers Exhibition) will be a jam-packed double-header this year, tailor-made for conscientious eaters.

Workshops on nutrition, sustainable growing methods, and chef's demos are scheduled.

Attendance peaked at over 1100 visitors to the Shawnee event alone last year, and we expect to see many more in 2008.

Stan Slaughter, eco-troubadour, will be on hand. Locavores and localvores, bring your kids, your neighbors, teachers and students to see, taste, listen and learn about organic, naturally-grown, free range and sustainable foods.

Sign up for CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) shares while you are at the Expo, to ensure that you and your family have access to some of the healthiest food in the region.

Get to know our local growers, farmers markets, other vendors and organizations. It's educational!
