Visit Your Market This Fall

I’ve received a lot of phone calls the past week about farmers’ market hours and questions on whether the markets are still open. Although farmers’ market season is winding down…many of the markets across the state will be open until November for fall harvests.

To check and see if your local market is in business check out the Missouri Farmers’ Market Directory that lists all 134 markets across the state.

Visitors can expect to see farmers selling fall produce like acorn and butternut squash and harvest decorations such as corn stalks, unique gourds, pumpkins, Indian corn, mums and many other items. Some markets will have other items available like herbs, eggs, apples in limited quantities (April freeze), melons, jams and jellies and baked goods.

Get out and visit your local market before the close of the season!
