Bolivar Market Brings Betterment to Community

Southwest Missouri offers a wide variety of farmers’ markets across the area. Right off of Hwy 13 in the Bolivar area is the Bolivar Betterment Association Farmers’ Market, which is organized through the Bolivar Betterment Association.

The market is located on the corner of Locust and Main Street and is open on Saturday mornings 8:00 am - 12:00 pm and Tuesday evenings 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm.

Vendors that sell at the market must be Polk County residents and grow all their own produce. Craft vendors are not allowed in the market. Currently there are 13 growers that sell at the local market.

To find out more information about the Bolivar Market please contact Market Master JoAnna Newcomb at 417-298-3051 or via email at S271030@mail.nwmissouri.edu.

JoAnna says that many of the market customers have been shopping at the market for more that 10 years and they look forward in interacting with the farmers each week.
