Ozark Community Adds New Farmers' Market

The Ozark community will be seeing some changes on the newly renovated square this summer and fall. Each Thursday night from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm the square will be the stage for musicians of all sorts and a newly formed farmers’ market.

This is the first year for the Ozark Square Farmers’ Market, which started the first of April. The market offers customers a wide array of local produce and the sounds of the summer from bluegrass, gospel and country musicians.

Currently, there are 14 vendors that have shown interest in selling at the market. Vendors at the market sell baked goods, cut flowers and arrangements, meat, herbs, vegetables, honey, cedar bowls and hanging baskets.

Robert Snook, Executive Director of Ozark Main Street and the Market Master for the market said he is hopeful that the market will continue to grow and offer Ozark residents fresh produce right off the farms from local producers.

Tuesday, June 26th the market held a meeting to discuss marketing opportunities, inspections, licensing and other issues at the City of Ozark building. KOLR 10 News was at the meeting and interviewed Robert about the newly created market.
