Mt. Vernon Farmers' Market Meeting

If you are traveling down I-44 West on a Saturday and looking for some of the freshest local produce you might stop in Mt. Vernon, in southern Missouri.

Beginning the first Saturday of April from 7:00 am until Noon the Mt. Vernon Farmers’ Market offers consumers a variety of produce, crafts, local honey and plants from its 13 vendors. The market is in its seventh year and is located in the historic downtown area of Mt. Vernon.

At a recent visit with some of the vendors, news of a move for the market location was discussed. The market has the possibility of being moved to a new and more convenient location in the near future.

Linda Lane is the Mt. Vernon Farmers’ Market Master. The market is open from the first Saturday in April until the second Saturday in October. To get to the market take Main Street to Market, north to the Mount Vernon downtown square. For questions email the
